News bites: Republicans advocated for DOE loans

USA Today reviewed hundreds of letters that show Republicans advocating for Energy Department loan guarantees.

Construction of new nuclear power plants dropped after the disaster at Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi plant, the Guardian reports.

The Associated Press reports that a major solar storm will hit Earth on Thursday.

Climate change is a factor in the newest version of the popular videogame “SimCity,” AFP reports.
